Americas Best Value Inn Woodward at 8th St

It was freezing outside, around 30, and the heater in our room wasn't on, so it took a while to warm up. The man who checked us in was rude, even though we had a reservation, and he didn't return my license. My husband looked around outside for the breakfast restaurant at about 7, and the license wasn't on the ground then. If someone had already found it, why didn't they give it back? The woman working when we got it was very friendly, but the service at check-in was lacking. I know they can't control the weather, but they could turn the heat on in a paid room.

The furniture, towels, and bedding were older, though clean. The place seems to have been Red Country Inn before Americas Best Value Inn bought it and sold the previous location on 270. It looks like they put in new floor tile, painted, and replaced the small bathroom counters, while keeping the old faucets and toilets. I only stayed one night. It wasn't too bad, but I could probably find somewhere significantly nicer for just a little more.

We checked in late, and it was quiet and peaceful. The place isn't new, but it was very clean, and the bed was hands down the best I've ever slept in. I wanted to take one home with me. I was incredibly impressed and would stay again if I'm in the area.

We just needed somewhere to stop for a few hours, and the room was quiet with nobody disturbing us. It could have been cleaner, and there was a water leak in the bathroom. The shower only was a downside too. The four-cup coffee maker made me forget about that for a bit, until I noticed there were no cups. I'm sure we'd try this place again, but next time I'll pack differently, including batteries for the remote.
