Days Inn Yakima

The rooms themselves were very clean, and breakfast was good, but you weren't allowed to take it back to your room. I was even followed to make sure I didn't. The maids were unfriendly, pushed into my room after I'd said I didn't need service, then made me leave while one cleaned and left garbage behind. The manager was just as unprofessional as the maids. The few days she was off, my stay was nice and comfortable, but her presence made it unpleasant.

Cristina was so nice and helpful during our two-night stay. She made my partner and me feel welcome, and we'll stay here whenever we visit from now on. The room was clean and nice, and the beds were comfortable.

We were so scared by what we saw that we left, and the hotel still refused to refund the night despite the proof we provided. Looking out from the hotel, we saw homeless people all over, rummaging through dumpsters and peering into our car windows, and trading things. One man had a huge hunting knife tucked behind his pants. Someone pulled in sideways next to our car, snorted a line of what looked like Coke or meth, then drove off. A person in a big truck dropped off someone I can only assume was a prostitute. Then someone on a unicycle came up to a topless woman and sold her drugs. This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. Leaving was the best decision we made, because we were genuinely too frightened to stay in that environment.

We've had a good experience with the staff so far. They're all friendly and have been a big help with everything. The rooms are very nice, Lilly's really helpful at the front desk, and housekeeping does a good job.
