We had a wonderful weekend at this peaceful, beautiful place, about 10 minutes outside Colonia. Taxis are easy to arrange. The hosts were attentive, the food was delicious, and all we heard around us was the wind, rain, sunshine, or animals. So relaxing after the hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires.

Nature is all around this special place, while the house itself feels cozy and has a lovely pool. There are different trails to hike, including some that take you to small river beaches. It’s also close to Colonia, so it’s easy to head into town for dinner or sightseeing.

Five stars for disrespect, and none for professionalism. The owner canceled our booking just three days before we were due to arrive, without giving any reason. We had planned to celebrate a birthday or anniversary there with my partner. We didn't have far to travel, but I can only imagine how awful that would be for people coming from a long distance or from abroad.

The kitchen and living room are the best parts, really spectacular shared spaces where you can cook or use the barbecue grill. The rooms are very good too. It's a lovely place for a quiet weekend out in the countryside.

The rooms are really comfortable, and the bathrooms are well equipped. There's a beach about 500 meters away, with a small spring. Back at the property there's a pool, a dome and grounds for activities. It's peaceful, the food is good, and the service is very good.
