Colonia Suite Apartments

We loved having a terrace garden, and the shared space was just right for reading and drinking tea. It was a quiet place, really well located, and felt like a home away from home. The charming guest house has large, comfortable rooms with little kitchenettes and sitting areas. Everything was nicely decorated and felt authentic. We loved it! Thanks Luis

Fred came to our rescue after a last-minute travel delay left us stranded in Colonia late at night. He replied quickly to our call and messages, in English too, and found us a room despite the late hour. The place turned out to be as colourful and charming as he is. It’s a carefully restored heritage building, now a cosy four-bedroom B&B with tasteful furnishings and art on the walls, including some of Fred’s paintings. Our second-floor apartment was lovely, with a comfortable bed, a living area full of coffee-table books and puzzles, even a Scrabble game, and a balcony over the street. The bathroom was spacious and the hot shower was great. There was also a small kitchen with a microwave, kettle, coffee and tea. Since it was winter, the AC kept the place warm. We just wish we could have stayed longer. We won’t forget Fred’s warm hospitality.

Fred made us feel at home right away, and he was both helpful and knowledgeable. The B&B is on a quiet street a few blocks from the heart of old Colonia. Our room was cosy, tastefully decorated, very spacious and well equipped. We had two lovely nights here and would definitely come back. Recommended.

It felt more like being hosted by a local family than staying in a hotel. The owners were kind and helpful, and our clean room was set up like a little apartment beside a beautiful patio where breakfast was served in the morning. The house is old and cosy, in a quiet, safe area in the town center, less than a 10-minute walk from the old colonial area.
