The rate felt far too high, with the prime location apparently doing all the work to justify it. Breakfast was abysmal. The hotel's grounds were neglected, with litter and dead plants taking away any charm they might once have had. When we arrived, the shower stall was very dirty and full of hair, so it looked like it hadn't been cleaned. Sorry to leave a poor review, but choosing this place really was a poor call on our part.

The staff were friendly, and thank goodness the bed sheets were at least about 90% clean. But the rest of the place was awful. I've traveled a lot and stayed in plenty of different hotels, and I've never seen anything like this. If zero stars were an option, that's what I'd give. The online pictures must have been taken many years ago. The hotel may be old, but it shouldn't be dirty. There was mold, cracks, and water flies in the bathroom. The shower didn't drain because there was so much hair, and hair was also on the floor and walls. Towels had black and yellow stains. The room hadn't been renovated in years, with food stains and water marks under the windows, and a black mark on the mirror. The safe didn't work because its batteries were spoiled. Everything was very old and DIRTY. There was no continental breakfast. They gave us one piece each of cheese and ham, one bun, a little cookie, jam, and butter.
