The location made it easy to explore the town, and all the staff were lovely and incredibly accommodating. The breakfast was excellent, with sweet and savoury choices, delicious scrambled eggs, and even frothed milk for coffee. The rooms look dark in the online pictures, but in person they were much lighter, with windows and lovely furniture. It really felt like a boutique hotel, so I was shocked to learn it's apparently only a '3 Star'. I'd recommend Posada Manuel Lobo to anyone.

We loved the design and atmosphere. It was a stylish, relaxing hotel, with welcoming staff, excellent service, a delicious breakfast, and everything felt clean. Highly recommend!

The staff were really friendly and helped us book a wine tasting in Carmelo. Everything in Colonia is an easy walk from the inn. My wife and I stayed two nights, and our room was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and served in a generous portion.

What a letdown. They sent us long emails in Spanish about where and when to go, and we arrived while the concierge was available. There were a few problems getting the copier to make copies of our passports before they showed us to the rooms. I booked a superior room, but it left a lot to be desired. The doors wouldn't lock, and the wooden panels didn't close all the way, so light and unwanted views could get into the room. The tiny bathroom was practically unusable. Worse, there was no heat, no soundproofing, and we could hear everything from the street and elsewhere in the hotel. There was also black mold on the ceiling, as shown in the attached pictures. Look for somewhere else to stay in Colonia.

I spent an amazing week at this lovely inn with my family. We went to Uruguay to celebrate my grandparents' 60 years of marriage. I loved the place and recommend it to anyone visiting Colonia del Sacramento!
