Roberto cooked an exceptional dinner for us on the 31st when my partner and I visited Montevideo for New Year’s Eve. He’s a genuinely lovely owner, and guests get personal attention from him. The charming little boutique hotel also seems to have been refurbished by Roberto himself. It’s conveniently placed among several points of interest, just a few blocks from the Rambla.

Roberto and Alesia were warm, helpful hosts, and my family and I were very happy staying with them. The house feels more like a “Palacio Roberto” than just a Casa, with a lovely preserved interior, private rooms, a comfortable library and patio. It’s in Montevideo’s lively, exciting center, and has the modern comforts you need. A wonderful, cozy hotel.

There’s a weekend curbside market on this nice corner, and plenty of good local places to eat nearby. The B&B itself is cozy, quaint, welcoming, and delicious. Roberto, the owner, was a charming and accommodating host. Check out Casa Roberto.
