It’s about a 10-minute walk to the bus terminal, which was handy, though getting to the city center takes quite a walk. The kitchen had everything I needed to cook. There’s a hot plate instead of a full stove, but that worked for me. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the hostel was very clean. Sleeping was the big problem. The large room only had two fans and no AC, so it was incredibly hot and hard to sleep. The curtains were sheer and let in lots of light, while the outside metal shutters were jammed and wouldn’t close all the way. Street noise came through even with the window shut, making it harder to rest.

The staff seemed nice, and there’s potable water. The location is good, but the price just isn’t worth it. There’s no AC in the room, the kitchen equipment is really bad, and towels cost extra.

The room had AC, Wi-Fi and a TV, and it was clean and comfortable. There’s a lift, which is convenient for wheelchair users too. The hotel is well placed, only a few blocks from Tres Cruces shopping centre. We came as a couple, and both the front desk clerk and receptionist were very kind. The service was friendly and polite, and they’re happy to help you find what you need in the city. Breakfast is available for 200 Uruguaian pesos even if it isn’t included in your booking. Bring your own toiletries.

Good value. The kitchen is small, but the service is great, and both private and shared rooms are spacious and clean. There’s a terrace bar where you can relax and order some “tragos”.

The bus terminal is really close, about 600m away, which is handy for trips to Colonia and elsewhere. The city center is a bit far, maybe 1.5-2km. The place is very clean and feels safe, with great staff and an okay breakfast.
