There's lots of room, and the place looks stylish and feels friendly. If you're arty and liberal, I think you'd like it. It's close to the beach, and breakfast is included. The beds could be more comfortable, but for the price it's still great value. I'd recommend it to a friend.
Things were generally quiet when I stayed at Contra Luz in December 2018. It may be the quietest hostel I've been to. The linens were clean, and breakfast was the usual toast and jam. The bed wasn't ideal, but it was fine.
Right next to the river, this is a spacious, modern, beautiful hostel filled with art. The staff were friendly, and it was clean and comfortable. They were also very flexible about payment options.
Great location and fair prices. The staff are cheerful, kind, and really helpful.
