Hotel Casablanca

After a 22-hour flight, I arrived at 5 a.m. with a 22 kg suitcase and found stairs but no lift. Although several rooms looked empty, they said early check-in wasn't possible. The whole staff seemed to be one teenage boy, and after arguing with him for an hour I was still told to sit on a chair for four hours, despite having prepaid for four nights. Eventually an older woman arrived, apparently the owner's mother, and reluctantly gave me a room. It had no window and one 40-watt bulb. The pillows felt stuffed with straw, the tap pressure was so weak it took 40 seconds to fill a glass, and the shower was similar. Flushing the toilet sent water across the floor. They'd left one half-sized roll of toilet paper, which fell apart as soon as water splashed it; after I complained, the woman grumbled and brought two more identical rolls. The shampoo packet was impossible to open without scissors. There were other things I could mention, but I'll leave them out. Avoid this place at any cost. I suspect the positive reviews were written by paid shills.
