The first beach is a bit far, though the walk along the waterfront makes getting there nicer. The hostel itself is very clean, not expensive, and close to the center. Probably the best one I’ve stayed in so far. I’ll come back whenever I return to Mentevideo.

I wouldn’t recommend it. The dorm smelled, felt very cold at night because of the air conditioning, and the bathrooms were really dirty all the time. WiFi was extremely slow or didn’t work at all. It also seemed expensive for what you get, and not being allowed to bring in drinks from outside is a no-go for a hostel.

It’s quiet and easy to get to, but it needs to be cleaner, especially the showers, which need more frequent cleaning. The rooms also need windows because they get stuffy overnight.

A cozy place in a great spot in Montevideo, with everything within walking distance. The people were cool, the vibe was good, and breakfast was great. One of the nicer hostels I stayed at in South America.
