I wouldn’t recommend staying here overnight. Noise went on all night, and the windows are paper thin and don’t even shut properly. With small children who could open them, that felt completely irresponsible. The short curtains also do nothing to keep the streetlights out.

The surroundings are beautiful, with a lovely view outside. Rooms are nice, clean, and have all the amenities, though the price is a little high, probably because of the area.

There was never anyone at reception, so we felt completely on our own whenever we went there. The room itself was awful, despite having booked a week ahead. It smelled musty, with black damp patches on the walls, and the bathroom was disgusting from moisture on the walls and ceiling. A proper fix would be better, but even a fresh coat of paint now and then would show some effort. There were cobwebs in every corner, furniture scuffs on the walls, and half-used toilet paper in the bathroom. When I turned down the bed, the first thing I saw was a hair, and the other bed hadn’t been made. Everything was horrible. NEVER AGAIN.

I come to Nueva Palmira for work every month and always enjoy staying here. The superior rooms are the best for size, quality, and views of the Uruguay River. Breakfast is great, and the staff are friendly and ready to help with whatever you need. Just be aware that motorcycles and cars with loud music make a lot of noise on weekends. If you’re working and need to rest on Saturday or Sunday, ask for a room at the back. I highly recommend the hotel.
