The owner lives on site and was helpful and knew the area well. There’s a small supermarket down the street with fresh bread, cheese, fruit, meat, and other things. Ancora Aparthotel is right on the beach in Punta del Diablo, Roche Uruguay, close enough that you hear the surf day and night, which is very soothing. Its four clean, cozy units each have a kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom, and a big screen direct TV, laid out over two floors. The beds are very comfortable, and the units come equipped with quality towels, sheets, a coffee maker, and more. I highly recommend it for a relaxing seaside holiday.
