Remanso Apart Hotel

The place and service were very nice. The girls, the pool manager, and the owner all provided very good service.

We went on 10/02/2025. When we arrived to check our booking, the man with glasses told us that Booking didn't charge for the stay, even though the amount had already been deducted from our card in dollars. He kept insisting there was still a payment due. I don't know if he was trying to scam us, but it felt that way. When we got to the room, the air conditioning wouldn't cool and the shower only gave hot water, in 42º heat. We were exhausted and stayed in that hot room for at most an hour before leaving. The man got angry that we left the apartment. I don't recommend it. Reply to the owner: Things were badly organized from the start, and he did try to charge us twice. If we hadn't understood a little Spanish, we would have fallen for it. We left our country, where it gets extremely hot in our city, and gave up our own air conditioning, so heat is no excuse for not having cool water and a working air conditioner. The reception air conditioner, where that man was, worked perfectly, while ours didn't. The bathroom got wet because of its poor condition. They showed very little empathy. They expected us to accept that there was no cool water, even though the shower was gas-powered, and that the air conditioner was prehistoric, while his worked and cooled well. They also need to prepare better for receiving tourists. Don't expect everyone to speak Spanish when you come to our country without speaking our language either! 😕 Brazilian friends, don't go to this place. That man has no basic sense. What a shame. ☹️

As my daughter said, everything was paid in advance. The daily stay was charged to our credit card in dollars. After some time, this man suddenly found our payments and confirmed that it had been paid. I can certainly afford this stay. Then he took us to accommodations that didn't match the Booking app listing. It's upsetting to arrive somewhere and find that everything offered was a lie and a disappointment. In my view, when tourists come to my country, the hotel industry should be ready to treat them well, and that didn't happen here. I left completely frustrated and sad, because I couldn't even take a shower: the water was scalding and the air conditioning wouldn't cool at all. Even if it was 50 degrees outside, there should have been cool water and air conditioning. I've never seen a country where people don't like tourists, when tourists help the economy. I was disappointed, as I expected more from my vacation. I don't recommend this place to anyone.

Good service, daily breakfast, and fresh-squeezed orange juice, which I appreciated 😊. The room cleaning service was good, there's space for vehicles, and the location is convenient, just one block from the hot springs. Recommended.
