Hotel Zaringiz

The hosts were so kind, generous, and hospitable. I had an absolutely incredible, beautiful room, and this is one of the most amazing places I’ve ever stayed. I highly recommend it as the best hotel in Bukhara.

It looks ordinary from outside, but step in and the floor plan turns out to be quite intricate. Some of the wooden floors creak when people walk. In the room I found complimentary slippers, soap, and shampoo, plus a fresh bath towel and hand towel on the bed. There were cups, saucers, and a kettle on the side table, and a small fridge as well. A great place for travellers.

Good breakfast, and the rooms were clean and quiet. Every tourist site is walkable, roughly 1-1.5 km away, which makes this a great hotel for the price.

For $60 a night, we’ve stayed in much nicer places in Uzbekistan. The breakfast was gross, and our prefab room on top of the hotel looked nothing like the pictures. It seemed some of the rooms shown in the photos might be genuinely nice, but ours was disgusting and hadn’t been cleaned. It smelled of stale cigarettes, the bed wasn’t properly made, the shower wouldn’t drain, and the water pressure was barely more than a trickle. I’d avoid this place.
