The breakfast was fantastic, with plenty of continental and traditional Uzbek choices, and the rooms were spacious, very clean, and comfortable. This family-run hotel has a distinctive Uzbek feel throughout, with many paintings made in the owners' traditional Persian-Uzbek painting workshop in the basement. The workshop adds a special cultural touch. The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help. Highly recommended.

The hotel is right in the old town, so cars usually can't reach it and you need to walk a little. I didn't see an elevator either, which may make it unsuitable for people with mobility issues. Still, most Bukhara attractions are an easy walk away, and the family-run place has very clean, spacious rooms. There's a gallery next door showing miniature paintings by the owner's father, an internationally recognised artist in this art. Breakfast is simple but delicious, with grapes from the owner's garden and the best rice porridge I've ever had. The staff were very helpful and friendly. If I return to Bukhara, I'd stay here again. The price and quality were a perfect match.

The room was completely quiet, thanks to good window insulation, even though the hotel is near the beautiful square. It's tucked away in a very good location. I loved the comfortable bed, friendly and accommodating staff, and wonderful breakfasts. The small, charming hotel also has a beautiful gallery of miniature paintings, all at a very high standard. We stayed in many hotels in Uzbekistan, and this was my personal favourite, a real highlight of the trip. I preferred it to the big tourist hotels nearer the registan and park. 5 stars!!

The hosts were very helpful, and the hotel was excellent. Book through booking or contact the hotel directly. Hotel Placer is a sham, so don't book there.

The people were really nice, and the place itself is beautiful. Right on the historical square, and I felt at home. Best hotel in Bukhara.
