Status House Guest House

The owner checked us in himself and was ready to meet us at any hour. Our room was large, clean, warm even in the cold season, and had fresh towels and a comfortable bed. There was one bathroom shared between two rooms, but the other room was empty, so that wasn’t an issue. We had hot water and Wi-Fi, and drank tea and instant coffee with snacks in the cozy shared kitchen. The price was nice, and it’s a decent place for a couple of days in town. The guesthouse buildings aren’t all at the map location. It’s down a dead-end on an ordinary street, with central Fergana a 10-15 minute walk away. The corridor wallpaper and lighting choices seemed questionable to me, though it’s a private house and that comes down to taste. The photos match what’s shown on Booking. Only liquid soap and shampoo are provided, with no other toiletries. There’s no breakfast option, which is inconvenient since there are no shops or cafes in the nearby residential area.

Sardar was friendly and very helpful. We accidentally booked his guesthouse for the wrong dates, but when we arrived he found us another place that was clean, had great facilities, and was well located.

The owner was so nice and helpful, and both the bedroom and bathroom were really great. Everything was perfect, thanks again.

We knocked when we arrived, but nobody opened the door. So much for a guest house. I never got to see inside, which is why I’m giving it two stars. Go to Sakura hotel instead.
