Arzum Hostel

I came for one night and somehow ended up staying four. The price is hard to beat for such a modern place: 100,000 sums a night as of January 2026. I also really liked the laundry service, 50,000 sums, with a staff member handling it. I've used laundry at plenty of hostels, and this was my favorite. Staff were so kind and quick to sort out anything they could. There are two supermarkets within five minutes, one open 24 hours, and the metro is about a ten-minute walk. The layout is restaurant on the second floor, guesthouse on the third, hotel on the fourth. Tashkent's subway and the neighborhood worked well for me, though the place is away from downtown and closer to the airport, so some people may prefer staying in the city. A few things were less comfortable. The open Wi-Fi needs no password, but can be painfully slow, sometimes not even enough for 1080p videos. The room was cold; the glass windows gave a nice view, but I couldn't tell whether each room had its own heating. An old man's famous line is, "If you open the door, it gets warmer," since the hallway is warm. Sound travels too: cars come through the glass, people talking in the hall are audible, and events at the second-floor restaurant can be heard up on the third. It was okay until day four, when it got pretty noisy. ^^. Still, it's a great deal. I'd suggest trying a night and extending if you like it. I did exactly that, and stayed four nights. 😅

It's a handy place to stay, with a neat, new hostel and a quiet, uncluttered feel. The kitchen works as it should, too.

The kitchen stood out for me during my couple of days here. It was clean and easy to use, with all the utensils needed to cook. The rest of the place was quiet and tidy, and everything was fine.

I really enjoyed staying at the new Arzum hostel. It felt cozy and modern, and everything was clean. The staff were attentive and friendly, always willing to help. I'd happily come back.
