Hotel Afrosiyob

We arrived in Qarshi around midnight to find our prepaid rooms hadn’t been booked properly. Eldor, who was presented as the manager, blamed a mix-up between colleagues and apologized, but the hotel offered us a 2-star place on the outskirts instead of trying to sort things out. We declined. The manager came across as arrogant and didn’t seem sorry or willing to fix the problem. This ruined our trip, and I won’t return. The place felt more like a hostel than a hotel and wasn’t worth our money. Be prepared for frustrating customer service, and look elsewhere. I can’t understand how it received a 3-star rating.

The rooms were nice and the place itself was quite good, with a fine breakfast too. But the staff were extremely unreliable. Checking out took 40 minutes, the longest I can remember. The receptionist couldn’t find the change, the safe was locked and nobody knew how to open it, and the manager wasn’t there. A group with a flight to catch got no real help, just nervous staff doing nothing.

The room was clean, comfortable, nicely done, and felt new. The staff were kind, friendly, and helpful, and the service was excellent. I really enjoyed my stay. If I get the chance to visit this beautiful city in Qarshi, Uzbekistan again, I’ll come back. Best hotel in Qarshi 👍

Housekeeping did a really good job, and I liked the cozy, light rooms with their modern look. The bathroom’s underfloor heating was a nice touch. There’s also a balcony where you can get some air or smoke. Breakfast was decent, but the Wi-Fi usually sucks. One of the best hotels in Karshi.
