Hostel Farrukh

We felt like part of the family here. The owners and staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and accommodating, and were completely fine with us doing some basic bike maintenance just outside our room while cycle touring. The family built the tea house themselves and have owned it for 16 years, then added the hostel rooms two years ago. We stayed three nights in a pretty, clean twin room. The en-suite was clean with working hot water, the beds were quite firm, and the bedding and pillows were clean. Air con worked well. There was soap, mini shampoo, toilet paper, towels, breakfast, Wi-Fi, and enough power sockets. The attached tea house served great food in a lovely courtyard with a yurt in the middle, a nice spot for a cold beer in the early evening sun. The hostel is right in the centre of Khiva Old Town, with Juma Mosque just seconds away. We couldn't recommend it more. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I only stopped for lunch, I didn't stay at the hostel. Prices were very good and the coffee was tasty, but I didn't like the food. There's not much choice, and what customers ask for seems to be sold out all the time.

Finding a massage or spa in Khiva is difficult. This place in the old city had only been open for three days when we tried the body and foot massages. Gozal had good technique.
