Mulberry Hotel

Chorsu bazar is only about two minutes away, and Hazrat Imam Complex, the Islamic civilisation centre, and the circus are all within walking distance. The hotel has a museum-like feel, with old objects, rugs, and notes kept in good condition. Abdullah and Farukh were warm and welcoming, and Mishka the cat was lovely. Breakfast was fresh and tasty each morning.

Chorsu Bazaar is an easy walk from here, and laundry service is available. Mr. Abdulla at reception was very helpful with all our questions. The room was a good size for two, and breakfast was delightful.

After my stay, I noticed the booking app had been changed to show only one night, even though I had originally left a positive review. It seems they may not have registered me for the entire stay, and that could cause trouble when leaving the country. My earlier experience was good: the staff were friendly, breakfast was good and even included real coffee. The room was clean, the beds comfortable, and the hotel is central, very close to the bazar.

The bathroom was the one major issue for us. Our booking description said “private bathroom,” so we expected it to be in the room, but it was downstairs and outside. They really need to make that clear. It was very uncomfortable, so be careful about this when booking. Otherwise, things went well. The reception guy spoke English and carried our suitcases up the stairs. The wifi worked well, there was hot water, and the beds were clean and comfortable. There was also a fridge outside and an iron.
