Gosty Comfort Hotel

The hotel is close to the railway station, about a four-minute walk, and the rooms are beautiful and spacious. But there were some ridiculous issues with payment. At check-in I was asked for a deposit of around $10 in case a guest damaged something in the room. Staff checked at checkout and found no damage, but I still didn’t get the money back. They told me it was non-refundable. I’d never heard of that kind of deposit, and it makes no sense. The room rate was already high compared with nearby hotels, then they charged this on top. It feels like cheating people out of their money. I’d also advise against paying by card because the fee is huge. Communication with staff was difficult too: their English wasn’t very good, and they didn’t understand Russian.

My train came in at 1am, and checking in at that hour was no problem. The kind receptionist welcomed me warmly, and the rest of the staff were kind too. Breakfast was great and had plenty of everything. The hotel is modern and clean, with a superb location right next to the train station. I’d book again.

Right by the railway station, so the location is perfect if you arrive very late. The room was comfortable, clean and very nice, with great AC and excellent WiFi. I’d stay again.

Fine for a short stay. We were puzzled that our room was on the third floor and there was no lift for the bags. Otherwise, it’s a small but nice hotel, less than a five-minute walk from the railway station.
