I was tired and annoyed by the time I finally got to the hostel. There are two hostels run by the same family, and the names on Booking and Google Maps differ slightly. I first went to the wrong one and got directions from there, but the correct place has no sign. The Google Maps pin is also a little off, and I walked into two people’s houses by mistake before finding it. The hostel itself was clean, new, and nice, but getting there was a frustrating mess.

Everything went smoothly, the service was excellent, and breakfast was superb. The hotel is within walking distance of the attractions. Ms Erida cooked rice for us, and Ms Eroda and her daughter were lovely and very responsive. I’ll come back here, in sha allah.

A decent, average hotel that’s clean and has all the amenities. It’s centrally placed, so all the sights are within walking distance, and the hostess is very friendly. There was no hairdryer, and the WiFi barely worked.

It’s a lovely, classic mansion, and the room was clean with friendly staff. We had the very last room, so the Wi-Fi was a little weak, and the mattress seems due for replacement. Siap Bazaar is walkable. There aren’t any big supermarkets close by, but there’s a small one 350 meters away, and the walk to a restaurant is about 400 meters.

The breakfasts were delicious, and the colorful interior has an authentic feel. It’s a small, family-run hotel near the historic center, and good value for money. I booked through Booking.com and paid just $20 for a room. We had trouble with the shower pressure, so ask the hostess how to switch on the water motor.
