Nizamov Hotel

The staff were friendly, and the room was nice quality. Nice people all around. Breakfast was interesting.

We spent October 26th to 30th in Uzbekistan, starting in Bukhara and then heading to Samarkand, where we stayed at the Nizamov Hotel. Our two rooms were large, bright, and excellent. Each had a safe, TV, kettle, refrigerator, and hairdryer. They provided shower gel and shampoo, dental kits, and slippers, plus fresh water was always available. The towels were soft and fresh, and the robes were snow-white. It felt like a 5-star European standard. Breakfast had plenty to suit everyone, and the staff were very polite and helpful, doing their best to meet requests. They even packed lunches for our early departure. Many thanks to the hotel management and staff for their hospitality. We’ll recommend it to friends. Samarkand is a modern, wonderful city with its own charisma. I recommend seeing Registan Square in the evening, when the music and laser show immerses you in history. Prices are more than reasonable. If you get tired of walking, a Yandex taxi ride anywhere in the city costs 140-200 rubles. The weather was lovely, reaching 26-28 degrees Celsius in late October, a great way to stretch out summer.

We picked the Nizamov Hotel for our last three days in Samarkand, after going on from our first hotel to Bukhara and then Khiva. We wanted somewhere comfortable and clean with good service to rest before our flight, and we’re very glad we chose it. The reception staff were smiling, friendly, and ready to answer questions. The hotel isn’t in the historic center, so a taxi is the best way to get to the sights. Taxis are very inexpensive in Uzbekistan, and a ride to Registan costs about 16,000-20,000 soums, around 100-120 rubles. Yandex Taxi is available. Most hotels in the historic center are in old buildings and cost about the same or even considerably more. We stayed near the Registan before, and while it was fine, the building was old and smelled of sewage. Inside, the hotel feels comfortable and cozy, with spotless rooms, crisp white linens, comfortable mattresses, soft robes, and a pleasant smell in the halls and rooms. Breakfast was delicious, with dairy products, cottage cheese, cold cuts, vegetables, several jams, pancakes, and plenty more. Coffee comes from a machine, and hot options include porridge, fried eggs, or an omelet. There’s something for every taste. Thanks to the staff for making our stay so comfortable.
