Wellfort Hotel

Hotel was my discovery on this Uzbekistan trip, and I’d definitely come back to stay here. I had everything I needed, with great quality and service, and the value for money was hard to imagine. The staff were extremely good, the rooms super clean, and the location perfect. I enjoyed the great breakfast, especially the super coffee and wonderful choice of food. Samarkand was a good trip for many reasons, and the hotel made it perfect.

The breakfast was fresh, varied, and delicious, with local and international choices. The hotel’s close to shops, restaurants, and public transport, but still quiet enough for a peaceful night. At Wellfort Hotel, check-in went smoothly, and the welcoming staff made me feel at home from the start. My room was modern, spotless, and comfortable, with fast Wi-Fi, a great shower, a very comfortable bed, and all the amenities I needed. I appreciated the care they put into the design and cleanliness. It was great value for the quality and service, and I’d gladly stay again or recommend it to visitors, for work or a holiday.

Getting around was much less stressful thanks to the front desk, who arranged reliable taxis and suggested and booked excursions that suited my mom’s mobility needs. We stayed at WellFort Hotel for almost a week in Samarkand with my mom, who uses a wheelchair, and I’d been nervous about accessibility. From day one, the staff helped with our bags and made sure she could get around easily. They also kept giving us free spring water, which was great since we drink a lot. Our beds and pillows were super comfortable, and the rooms had tea setups and mini-fridges for late-night snacks. The power went out twice across the whole city, but the hotel generators came on right away, so we didn’t notice. Breakfast was the best hotel breakfast we’ve had in 15+ countries, and it was fresh, delicious, and different each day. We’d finish one meal already looking forward to the next morning. The kitchen staff were great about setting up a separate table for us whenever we wanted to eat outside, and they brought full teapots when we asked instead of just tea bags. Those little things made it feel like they cared about our preferences. One night my mom’s wheelchair tire went flat, and we were panicking because we had tours the next day. The maintenance guy, whose name I didn’t catch, fixed it right there and saved the trip. The pool was a lovely surprise: we could reserve it for just our family at no extra cost. During the heatwave, they turned the hot tub into a cold plunge pool, which felt perfect after hot sightseeing days. The hotel isn’t right in the tourist center, which made it quieter, but there were plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. We walked to the folklore theater, the big park, and Pub Street, with its many bars and clubs, in about 15 minutes. The owner was often around, working alongside the staff and personally checking cleanliness and service. One night we really wanted beer, which they don’t normally stock, but the staff found some for us. It felt like every odd request got a genuine smile and a “no problem.” My husband, my mom, and I keep talking about going back. This place really made our Samarkand trip special.

The room was roomy, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, so we felt comfortable throughout our stay. Breakfast had plenty of choices, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Wellfort hotel is also in a good spot. We had a great time there and would recommend it.
