Level Business Hotel

The staff are nice, and breakfast is decent. It’s clean and functional, even if it doesn’t look very modern. The courtyard is really nice, and having all the rooms facing it could be good for keeping noise down. But once people are out there, the sound carries badly, even late at night when inconsiderate guests talk loudly for hours.

It’s quiet, and the metro station and supermarket are within walking distance. Breakfast was great and there was a lift. But one member of the front staff was impolite and seemed unmotivated. The air conditioner was too noisy to rest, the saunas weren’t working, and the pool wasn’t clean. There was a notice listing fines for damage guests might cause, which felt uncomfortable when my room didn’t even have a TV remote. This isn’t a 4-star hotel.

I stayed here at both the beginning and end of a two-week trip to Uzbekistan, and I’ll come back next time. It’s perfectly placed for an easy walk to the metro, museums, restaurants and parks. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, with a nice, clean feel, and breakfast had a wide variety. You can also ask for something to be prepared especially for you. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. One staff member went out of his way to make my trip incredible. Each morning at breakfast he checked that I was satisfied, ordered taxis for me, and made my reservation for my second stay. He even checked in during my trip to see if he could help, including while I was in other cities. His kindness and the effort he made to help me feel welcome and comfortable in his country really touched me. I highly recommend Level Hotel to anyone visiting.

Being close to the metro, a supermarket, and a short cab ride from the city centre was the best part of my stay. The rooms are spacious, but the cleanliness and service fell well short of what I expected from a 4-star hotel. The bed was hard and came with just one pillow. The coverlet and decorative pillows had visible stains and dark dirt, and the bathroom was dusty, with beard hairs on the floor and a bathtub that was literally falling apart. It was gross. Service was slow, and staff were often outside smoking, chatting, or standing around. The receptionists themselves weren't sure whether room service was available, and it isn't. There wasn't much English spoken or much sign of hospitality training. They seemed generally nice and well intentioned, but the service needs work. I'd rate the hotel 2/5.
