Queens Hotel Tashkent

We could barely sleep because the room was in such bad shape and noise carried everywhere. The window wouldn’t close properly, and the soundproofing was awful. We could hear people breathing in the next room, staff shouting outside our window early in the morning, and someone talking loudly on the phone for several minutes right by our door at night. The staff were very rude and didn’t speak English or Turkish properly, so communicating was extremely difficult. Breakfast was a complete disaster, and there was nothing redeeming about the property. Our ground-floor room had a glass door opening onto the back yard, which made us feel unsafe. At check-in, even though we arrived on time, they put us in a twin room instead of the double we had reserved, without asking or offering us a choice. It didn’t look like the photos either. When we asked for our booked room, they said the person staying there had paid for late check-in, so they couldn’t give it to us, and somehow blamed us. Unbelievable.
