Resident Hotel

I've stayed here on business trips for about two years, including just a week ago, and used to enjoy every visit. I came back today at 3 a.m. from the airport to find new management, and the experience was getting worse and worse. The reception staff didn't seem professional, and the management was rude. I arrived late with my wife, and they wouldn't accept card payment. After I went up to the room, I came back to pay. I had asked for a double room because it was a little cheaper than the luxe, but they said I had to pay the higher luxe price even though I'd only requested the double.

They took the full payment at check-in, marked me as a no-show, and I was meant to get cashback through my booking. My Agoda booking was canceled after confirmation, and when we arrived, they put us in a small room for two instead of the family room I'd booked. I had a very bad experience, and I suspect some reviews are fake or paid, since they pay for good reviews. There was no elevator, so I had to haul my 25 kg bag up two floors and back down. The room was cramped, and with my suitcase open there was barely space to move. The mattress was cheap foam. At 9:30 breakfast there were only two or three pieces of bread and a few pieces of meat left, no coffee, and they wouldn't give us any food. The facilities and building are very average. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

I arrived late, but they reduced the price from what I'd booked and gave me fruit and snacks for free. The hotel is close to the airport, so it works well for a stop during transit and feels like good value. I really recommend it.

I was ready to give the hotel five stars, but something changed my mind. I'm sure I left my iPhone charger in the room. When I called to say I'd come back to collect it, they told me nothing had been found. It's hard to believe the charger simply disappeared from the room. I think either they didn't want to return it, or whoever found it failed to put it in the lost and found box that every hotel has.
