The staff made a strong impression, always professional, friendly, and helpful with check-in, directions, and little requests. Breakfast had a good range, and the food and drinks were consistently good. Holiday Inn Tashkent City is modern, clean, and well located for exploring Tashkent or spending time around Tashkent City Park. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and well maintained, with a great bed and what we needed to relax. It's a reliable, well-run hotel with the comfort you'd expect from an international standard stay. I'd come back and recommend it to visitors.
Aida at reception welcomed me with a sweet smile and a warm, professional manner. She made me feel at ease as soon as I arrived, and I want to thank her especially. My recent stay at Holiday Inn Uzbekistan was genuinely pleasant, with comfort and hospitality throughout. Thanks to the whole Holiday Inn team for keeping service standards high. I hope to stay here again.
We paid an insane price because of the hotel's well-known name, but the service felt like a scam and a complete ripoff. At check-in, the receptionist argued with my husband that our room was for one adult, even after we showed proof that the booking was for two. She pressured us to pay extra and add breakfast, then delayed giving us a room although we said we had an infant and needed to check in quickly. Room service ignored our requests and brought a raw egg after we'd twice asked for it well done. They also charged $1.50 for a 500 ml bottle of water without telling us in advance. We'd understood water was complimentary at other hotels in Tashkent. We found out it cost extra only when we ordered some for our baby in the middle of the night. The reception staff were really rude, and the service was terrible. Horrible experience. We definitely won't book again.
There's a park right across the street for a walk, and restaurants and a mall are close by, so the location is excellent. The hotel is very clean, breakfast is delicious, and the staff are extremely cooperative. I'd definitely book here again.
UPDATE: In its response, hotel management publicly disclosed my full legal name, taken from my passport at check-in, even though my public profile only shows "Gafur K". That's a serious breach of my privacy and confidentiality. Management also blamed the cleanliness on a "Do Not Disturb" sign, but the thick dust in my photos was already there before I arrived. This was a housekeeping failure, not the guest's fault. They refused to enter my complaint in their digital system and insisted on using a physical "Complaints Book", which seemed intended to avoid IHG corporate oversight. I stayed at Holiday Inn Tashkent City and found serious cleanliness problems in my room. On the third day, I noticed thick, visible dust and dirt on several frequently touched spots: shelves, the mirror frame, thermostat, and desk. I could easily wipe it away with a finger, suggesting the room hadn't been properly cleaned before or during my stay. I raised the issue with the front desk. The staff acknowledged it and verbally offered complimentary breakfast, but wouldn't formally register the complaint in the hotel system and gave no compensation for the affected night. For a hotel of this category and an international brand, both the hygiene and complaint handling were disappointing. Photos and videos are attached.
