I only came here to meet a friend, not to stay overnight. It seems like a nice hotel with a lot of rooms, but it's out of the way for me. You need a vehicle to get there, unless you're prepared to walk uphill for at least 15 minutes or so.

After our flight was cancelled, my husband and I stayed at the hotel for a couple of hours. It was raining when we had to leave, so we walked with towels over our heads to keep dry and planned to leave them at the front desk. At the airport check-in, we heard my husband's name being called over the system. He hurried to Security to find out what was wrong, and learned the hotel had called the airport saying we'd stolen the towels. I was so mad 😠. Your staff need to communicate better.

I went for a staff dinner. The fish was good, and the chicken was so tender it fell off the bone.

Our accommodation was faultless, and both the grounds and pools were kept spotless. The maid did exceptional work, and the service was wonderful. The food was the one letdown: not bad, but pretty mediocre rather than great. The Alexandrina is still great value, and I'd strongly recommend it.

The food was freshly made and tasty, and there was free coffee and tea too. We also got a visit from a cute puppy 🐾🤣. The people were warm and the place was clean. I really, really enjoyed my stay! Thanks, Chef. Pat and team from USA 🇺🇸 and Canada 🇨🇦
