Bequeve Los Roques

Bequevé felt peaceful, spotless, and carefully looked after, and the meals were spectacular, with menus adjusted to what each of us needed. The service was so attentive that we felt right at home from the warm welcome onward. We’re grateful to Alexandra, Carmen, Luz, Davis, Alejandro, and everyone who made the trip so memorable. We’ll be back soon. Truly the best inn in Los Roques, 100% recommended.

I love how comfortable the little campsite at Noronky is for eating and getting out of the sun, with an incredible view. That’s one of many details that keep bringing me back to Posada Bequeve. I work remotely, so the satellite internet available on arrival matters a lot to me. The staff are friendly and attentive, the rooms are comfortable, and the meals keep impressing me. They also welcome you with tasty snacks and send champagne, lunch, and drinks along for the beach. They meet you at the airport and handle your bags. Their boat for trips to the keys is spacious, comfortable, and in great condition. At the beach they provide canopies, good chairs, and microfiber towels that dry quickly, plus snorkeling gear if you ask. Los Roques is one of my favorite places, and since finding this inn, I haven’t stayed anywhere else.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. This was our first stay at Bequeve, though our fourth trip to Los Roques, and we came for my wife’s birthday. The inn is attractive and the rooms are comfortable, and we were promptly greeted, given the rules, and offered breakfast on our first day, which was a nice touch. But the VIP package didn’t match what we’ve experienced at other VIP or regular inns, and I felt embarrassed by the food at dinner on our first night. It didn’t seem like the Bequeve I’d seen on social media. At the beach, the captain didn’t greet us and came across as gloomy and unprofessional. We were the inn’s only guests. He said we were going to Madrisky, but after we insisted, we went to Francisqui instead. He then set 4 PM as our pickup without asking when we wanted to leave. The chairs were very uncomfortable, and the umbrella, cooler, and lunch were nothing special. The package had two large mineral waters, two soft drinks, and two canned beers per person, with no juice, sugar cane juice, or other choices. Lunch was terrible, with a Kraker cookie and a Susy candy, and we got no fruit on any of our three beach days. They also didn’t provide snorkeling equipment for the Natural Pool unless we asked, despite their social media saying it was included on all excursions. When we got back to Gran Roque, the main door was shut, the lights were off, and nobody was there to greet us. Inside, after we passed through the kitchen, the captain pointed out two slices of cake for us, with no drinks. We got no snacks after the keys on days two and three. We arranged our own visits to the keys on those days. Neither Mrs. Luz nor our beach guide, Deivys, was there during our stay.

Chef Carmen was a wonderful cook and a lovely person, and the kitchen team took good care of my gluten-free diet by preparing special dishes. The rooms at Bequeve were quiet, very comfortable, and air-conditioned. My husband and I came to Los Roques for the first time, and the steady WhatsApp messages helped us feel ready before we arrived. They met us at the airport right on time, and the breakfast was excellent. The whole stay at Bequeve felt unforgettable. We’ll come back.
