The staff were nice, but I still felt completely on my own. They couldn't tell me when I could catch a ferry back to the mainland. The hotel itself is a s*ithole, old and ugly, and nothing seems to work. The shower water was cold, toilet water came and went with an unbelievable noise, and sometimes the shower sprayed water by itself during the night. There was no Wi-Fi in my room, only in the lobby. My room wasn't made up on the second day. To get to the restaurant for breakfast or dinner, you have to pass through a dark cellar where plaster is falling off the walls. OMG. No go. 😞

The friendly, efficient staff were the only bright spot in a very run-down, dilapidated place. We paid $70 a night, which is extortionate for what you get and definitely not worth it. If water shortages are an issue, even when they're outside the hotel's control, the price should take that into account.

For a reasonable price, we had a great stay and loved our romantic trip as a couple. The staff were very kind, and the rooms clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a privileged part of Pampatar, Margarita's gastronomic center, with restaurants, bars, and clubs just a few blocks away. There were events by the pool at night too.

The hotel has incredible rooms and a beautiful pool area, and the lobby staff gave us the best service. But the view was what stayed with me most, the best I've ever seen from a hotel. It was a wonderful family stay and a memory I'll carry with me forever.
