Feather Leaf Inn

We woke up each morning to a beautiful view and a delicious plant-based breakfast. The owners are wonderful, down-to-earth people, and the staff involved in the program made the place feel special too. It’s a magical island, and you can feel how much the people here value protecting its natural beauty while living and working on the land. What a gift they share.

We’ve visited St. Croix many times, and now Feather Leaf Inn feels like our home away from home. It’s tucked into the quiet, rainforest-covered northwest of the island. The rooms are spacious and clean, and breakfast is served most days, making it a nice chance to chat with other guests and the resort staff. The owners and staff are lovely, helpful people. We’ll definitely return.

We’ll be back next year, just as we’ve returned for our third stay. We first found Feather Leaf Inn four years ago, and it’s become our favorite escape from winter. Thanks, Corina and Ryan! We always choose the Ocean House. Its own kitchen and water-view deck make meals easy, and being separate from the main house gives it a lot of privacy. Frederiksted is only 10 minutes away, but the place feels far removed from cruise ships and tourists. At night we fall asleep to waves and a soft breeze through the bedroom. The stars are bright, and short showers cool everything down. If you’re after nightlife near bars and restaurants, this isn’t the right fit. For a quiet tropical break from the rest of the world, it’s hard to beat.

Breakfast with the other guests, including fruit grown right on the property, was a lovely bonus. The historic home sits on the calm west end of St. Croix, with lots of open space to take in the views and trade winds. We also enjoyed the leafy pool area and the many books and reading materials around the house.
