Clean rooms at a reasonable price, and a handy spot right on the boardwalk. On-site parking is limited and costs $5 a day.

The roosters nesting in the trees outside the rooms were the main nuisance. They started crowing at 2 am, though shaking a branch got them to leave, with plenty of protest, and then we could sleep for the rest of the night. The mattresses were very firm and the pillows overstuffed, so bring your own if you prefer a flatter one. The hotel is a small boutique property, still renovating the upper floors after the last hurricane. It's a bit shabby but adequate, with screened porches on the ground floor. The pool was nice, the A/C was quiet and worked well, and the location right on the boardwalk was handy. Staff were kind and patient with us late risers. For the price, it's generally a good value.

Our flight home was cancelled, and American put us up here for the night. The room was simple but extremely clean, with a comfortable bed, and the location worked well. We spent the morning on the Christiansted boardwalk and at the fort. We ate nearby at Toast, where we had arepas, then picked up tasty sandwiches at Jump Up Deli for the airport. The receptionist kindly let us leave our luggage there for a few hours until the van came to take us back to the airport.

The woman at the front desk was really nice, and the rooms were great. You might hear the roosters making noise in the morning now and then. It's a great spot for walking around downtown and checking out the local shops in this colorful, history-rich area. I haven't had a good experience with the food or drinks on the boardwalk so far, though.
