This older hotel has seen better days. I stayed in room 617 for three nights. The service was good, and they helped me book a bus. Breakfast wasn’t anything special, but the coffee and yoghurt were good. The room safe stopped working, and a technician had to use a grinder to cut it open.

We only stayed one night, so I didn’t get to see the pool area or try a massage. The hotel is central to a lot of things, the rooms are clean, and the bed is comfy. The staff were pretty friendly and helpful.

The rooftop pool and the town view were my highlights. I had to swim quite a few laps to get my daily distance in, but it was worth it. This older grand hotel sits right at the start of Hai Ba Trung street, within walking distance of the famous market, Dak Lak Musum, large temples, and book street. My room had a good mattress, a fridge and kettle, enough outlets, and space for a notebook. The view stretched over town and out to a fantastic sky. Breakfast varied with the number of guests, though there was always enough to eat and the dishes were good. One bathroom annoyance: shower water crossed the whole floor to reach the drain under the lavabo. The staff were helpful, including with tourist information. (Sept. 2023)

The location is excellent, right in the center, and there’s a good coffee shop by the entrance. Still, I’d rate it three stars at most, despite the five stars displayed on the wall. The spa was closed for renovation, and the carpets in both the hall and rooms were old and dirty.

After staying at hotels around the world, I’d put this one closer to three stars than five. The pool area had nowhere to sit, and the spa is no longer open. The carpets were worn, dirty, and full of holes, while my shower room felt like something from a two-star hotel.
