Ivory Bamboo Orchard Resort

The family and staff are great, and the food is both excellent and cheap. The bamboo hut was fine, but 230k felt steep for a basic place with only a fan. For that money elsewhere in Vietnam, I'd expect air conditioning, a TV, and a fridge. I planned a week here but left after two nights because the setup wasn't comfortable or relaxing. Our hut had a good-sized veranda with nothing to sit or lounge in, and the dining area's very low stools got uncomfortable within minutes. There are four hammocks in a shared spot, but it was hard to relax there with people smoking and talking in such a confined area. With a more considered layout, this place could have a great future. Maybe they prefer guests to stay only a night and take a boat tour. I'd give it another try if they make the needed changes.

The family and everyone running this place were wonderful, and it was one of my better experiences in Vietnam. The little bungalows were nice and even had hot water. It has a jungle-like feel without actually being out in the jungle. I'd highly recommend staying here.

There are quite a few mosquitoes here because of the little ponds with flowers and water lilies, so be ready for that. The owners are kind, generous and gentle, and the woman cooks a really tasty Mekong family meal. Lunch and dinner were healthy and good. The bed and bathroom were decent and clean.

Really good all around. The staff are friendly and speak English, the rooms are nice, and there weren't many mosquitoes. The three-hour boat trip is highly recommended. It leaves at 6AM and costs 650k VND for the boat, which holds up to four people, or 130k per person for a larger group. The floating market wasn't crowded when we went.
