Covered, guarded parking for my motorbike was a reassuring bonus, and I could walk to plenty of places to eat and a shopping center. I stayed in a newly renovated balcony room with a city view at the Lion Hotel on 65 Hùng Vương Street. It was modern, roomy, and thoughtfully arranged, with a wardrobe, fridge, and a long desk that worked well for organizing my things and getting work done. The bed was very comfortable, and having a bathtub was lovely after a day exploring Cần Thơ. Housekeeping kept everything spotless, and the front office team were genuinely friendly. The place felt like home. I’d recommend it for comfort, convenience, and warm hospitality in Cần Thơ.

For $23 a night, I got more than I expected. The room was clean and had enough for me: air conditioning, a TV, a fridge stocked with mineral water, instant ramen, beer and soft drinks, plus a shower. The hotel is downtown, which made it convenient to walk around at night, and the staff were always smiling and ready to help. Parking is the one downside. There’s only room for two cars in front, so the others have to park at a nearby gas station. Still, it was worth the money, and I’m sure I’ll stay here again when I visit Can Tho.
