The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our visit, and the stay was generally comfortable. The rooms are decent for a short getaway, though there were a few spider webs in the ceiling corners and the room's coffee refill felt limited. The pool is quite small, really suited to young children rather than teens or adults who want to swim or relax. MerPerle Núi Sam Resort has a friendly atmosphere and offers a good stay, but some attention to room cleanliness and amenities would make the experience better.

We spent two nights here and found it okay. The location outside Chau Doc worked well for us, and we enjoyed exploring the village and its many temples. The pool is in a beautiful spot and was lovely for cooling off. The staff were attentive and clearly tried to do their jobs well, though they still seemed to lack a little experience with Western tourists.

The staff were extremely helpful and nice, and the hotel was comfortable. It had only recently been built, with large, spacious rooms and firm beds. The bathroom was big, but the cleaning needs work: we found mold and hair in the shower, and the drain was slow. At this nightly rate, I'd expect better cleaning.

The buffet breakfast's Bún riêu was good, but the room was small. Other tourists or staff were making noise around 5am.

We loved this peaceful resort, with views of the mountain and local rice fields, and it's close to the well-known local shrine. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The water pressure was really strong, which is a plus in Vietnam.
