TTR Moonstone Apart Hotel

A comfortable, spacious room that was clean, with friendly staff and a convenient location. The price felt fair for what we got. A good place to unwind while visiting Da Lat.

The location was a real plus, with lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The rooms were clean enough, though they felt old, and the staff were a mixed bag: some were lovely, others not very helpful. They did sort out the missing fridge, the balcony door that wouldn’t close, and the TV that wasn’t connected when we arrived. We had booked two connecting rooms, one without a window. They were on B2, alongside the hotel laundry rooms, so walking past that area was unpleasant and there was some noise early in the morning. Payment was cash only, which was annoying, and they asked to keep our passports until we withdrew money to pay. Breakfast options were very limited.

The cleaning and kitchen staff were really nice. The second room we got was also quite nice and smelled clean, though it had no minibar and the toilet seat was loose. The first room was another story. It and the elevator smelled moldy, and when we checked in early it didn’t seem properly cleaned. The sheets were dirty and smelled bad, the shower had what I think were shampoo stains, and there was mold in six different spots. The pillows smelled like dog pee, which made sleeping hard. When we asked to move, they wanted us to pay a fee. The hotel was noisy inside and out, every day from 06:00 to 01:00, so I wouldn’t recommend it for light sleepers. The staff were helpful when I had to change my check-in date and arrive early.

The people and service were great, but avoid the connecting rooms on floor B2. There was black mold on the walls in the shared areas, and a humidity problem. Half the room’s electricity didn’t work, and a motor on the terrace plus a tap made noise all night. One or two issues can happen, but this was too much.
