Tea Leaf Hotel

Room #102 was spacious, with a nice shower, though it had no window. It was noisy as hell, since the hotel caters to locals as well as foreigners. Still, you get proper bathroom towels here, not the paper-thin rags you'd usually find at this level. Good value for money.

The bathroom was especially convenient, roomy, and CLEAN!! The staff were polite, helpful, and really nice. Laundry was reasonably priced, and it was collected and delivered on time. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and finding that much space in Vietnam for a cheap price felt like a gem. There's a SmartTV, too. This was the best hotel of our whole trip in Vietnam. We didn't mind the lack of A/C. The fan was enough in Dalat's cool weather, which felt much less humid than elsewhere in the country. As far as I understand, hotels in Dalat don't have A/C in every room. There may be circulation A/C through the hotel, but not an individual unit per room. One thing to know: a small window high up opens onto the hallway for airflow. We couldn't reach it to close it when guests on the same floor were noisy in the early morning or late at night. Happy customer, 5 stars. I'd recommend this hotel and definitely come back next time I'm in Dalat.

The owners had a party in the entrance at night, and I could hear them shouting from the 4th floor. Unacceptable. The beds were hard, and they couldn't buy bus tickets or rent a scooter for us.

The Dalat location earns it one extra star. For that price, you could definitely get a better hotel.
