Tulip City View

The staff wouldn't let me park my bike at the hotel because I wasn't renting theirs. They rode with me to show me where I could park by the night market, then left straight away. I had to walk back alone through the cold, and it took about 20-30 minutes. Bad customer service. I wouldn't stay here.

The location was OK, with most things within walking distance, but the room was tiny and had only a fan, no A/C. Humidity stayed very high for all three nights, and when we left for another hotel we had to get all our clothes washed because they were so damp. The room and toilet both smelled strongly of urine, and telling the staff didn’t seem to help. At check-in, the receptionist was clearly sick and should have stayed home. We kept our distance because we were worried about catching it.

It’s convenient for walking to the central market, with lots of stores nearby. The rooms are usable and clean, and were maintained fairly well, though a few things got stuck when we tried to use them. Breakfast isn’t a buffet, but it’s good enough for a basic meal. I heard they rent motorbikes, but didn’t get a chance to try that. Some rooms have no windows, so ask reception when booking. It could feel a little hot without one, though the ceiling fan and bathroom exhaust fan help. A good experience for a 2-star hotel.

The staff were nice and helpful, and the hotel is well placed for walking to Dalat market or nearby shops for tasty local food. Two things bothered us: noise from other rooms when there were kids, and the shower temperature kept shifting between hot and cold even with the controller set around the middle or further to the right.
