Salem House

The rooms were nice and clean, and we got great value for money. The owner and staff were lovely and willing to help with anything. My girlfriend got sick while we were there, and they helped look after her. They also made a different breakfast each morning and took into account what we could and couldn’t eat. We loved our stay and would recommend it.

We left the same evening, right after discovering the host and his friends were smoking in the lounge and shared area where we planned to eat dinner. They said they would stop for us and open the door, but that wasn't a solution to the problem. We were traveling with our kids and didn't feel it was healthy to stay there. The room was downstairs, with just one small window facing the garage, so it got almost no daylight and felt humid. The location also wasn't good. At check-in, the woman couldn't answer our general questions because she didn't speak English, and Google Translate didn't help. We hadn't stayed the first night, but they initially refused to refund it. I complained through the booking system and got our money back. This wasn't a matter of taste, it was about them not following the smoking rules. I wouldn't recommend the place. For a similar price, there are much nicer options closer to the center.

The hosts were so friendly, and renting a motorbike right there made it easy to explore town. We had an incredible few nights. The room was cozy, the decor was top-notch, and everything felt flawless. Tôi sẽ quay lại!

They even went above and beyond when I hurt myself on my motorbike, helping me get the first aid I needed. Every morning there was a delicious homemade meal, and the staff helped with whatever came up. We felt completely at home at the Salem House. The staff were incredible, the rooms were a good size, and having a nice bathroom in the room was great. I'd highly recommend staying here!
