Cherry Garden Homestay

Room 106 was a dream, with lots of space, good airflow, and a nice terrace view. Breakfasts were filling and well cooked, and the owner was so kind, even making me ginger tea when I was coughing. The bed is firm and the AC and fan are strong. The only drawback is that the rooms aren't soundproof, so you can still hear people moving around the property.

Cherry was awesome, and the included breakfast was typical. The homestay is in a very good spot, and the room was clean. The owners also have two beautiful dogs. Thanks for everything!

The owner is incredibly nice and helps with anything, from renting a motorbike or bike to booking a bus ticket. She asks each day what you'd like for the included breakfast. The Wi-Fi worked very well, and the bedroom had a TV, fan, air conditioning, and balcony. The bathroom is small but has everything you need. It's only a five-minute walk to the bridge and the market. I've been traveling in South Asia for about four months, and for a good price, this is one of the best places I've stayed. I had a great time in Hoi An!

We felt like we had to keep our things all over the floor, so the room was constantly messy. It was tiny, with just a bed and a little space to walk around, no furniture or wardrobe, only a small hanger for a few things. It felt like a prison cell. For travellers who've been on the road for months, or really any traveller, there's a need for space to unpack. For over 400 000/night, I think you can find much better. We did, the next night, for just 280 000, and that place was lovely, practical, and had a big wardrobe and all the other facilities we needed. The owner also charged us for bicycles we borrowed for a few hours one day. They're almost always free at homestays. If we'd known there was a charge, we would have kept our rented motorbike for another day. And when I asked three times to check whether we could stay an extra night, she said everything was fully booked. After I'd already booked somewhere else, she texted to say she'd checked and had a room after all. By then it was too late, and we had to change places on our last day in Hoi An, adding a lot of stress while we already had other plans. At least we saw that you can get a MUCH better place in Hoi An for a fraction of this price, and can tell future travellers about it. Don't choose this place if you can get something else.
