Doji Stars

The mold made this the worst hotel I’ve ever visited. There was mold on the walls, and turning on the AC brought out a strong mold smell. The bathroom drains stank badly, and switching rooms changed nothing. The bed was musty and rock hard. I wasn’t expecting five-star comfort at that price, but after two nights the smell was so overpowering that I got a fever and breathing problems, so I had to cut my stay short.

The hotel itself is good value, and the staff are nice. But the Pig Bar right across from it blasts music until 5:30 am and shows no respect for guests trying to sleep. This shouldn’t be allowed. If I ran the hotel, I’d report them for breaking the 2 am curfew rule. Bring earplugs. It’s a real shame for the hotel, which must be losing a lot of repeat business.

I stayed for weeks and found the place a real gem. The rooms get lots of natural light, so they feel much better than the dark, dingy rooms common in the area. The people running it are kind, from reception to the cleaners. It makes me wonder why so many nearby hotels are so much less capable. Some rooms have very hard beds while others have soft, comfortable ones. I’d like to see more consistency.

My room was very clean, and the staff were really kind. I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel.
