Dragon View Riverfront Hotel - Managed by Chiic Vacation

The smell hit as soon as I walked into the room, like rotten socks, and it was so overpowering I couldn't sleep. Even moving the pillows and blankets across the bed didn't help. I had booked two nights, but left after the first because the room was uninhabitable. I asked to change rooms right away. They said they'd check and get back to me, then only responded around 11:00 PM to say every room was full. The next morning, a staff member called to ask how things were. I explained the smell again and asked to cancel night two. They agreed and asked me to confirm by message, which I did. Later they said the refund would be in cash 3-4 days afterward. As a tourist leaving the city and country, that wasn't possible. I then contacted the booking company, which said the hotel had never reported the cancellation, even though they'd confirmed it with me. There were other serious issues too. The bathroom drain was blocked and caused flooding. The hotel sits in a narrow back alley that's hard to find from the main road, and there were no staff on site after 5:00 PM. The washing machine shown in the listing photos wasn't there. This was the most distressing and disappointing hotel stay I've ever had. I strongly don't recommend it.

Dragon View Riverfront Hotel was a great place to stay. The staff were really friendly and even let us add a few days to our visit. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with amazing views of the dragon bridge. The location worked well for us too. Absolutely recommend 😊

I’m still bothered by the awful musty smell, which seems to come from the chandelier. The towels are used for both the floor and bathing, and they were badly stained and smelled unpleasant. I can’t recommend staying here.

The staff were very friendly and spoke English. Special thanks to Ms. Ivy. The location is good, while cleanliness was only middling.
