Thin walls made it hard to relax or sleep, since hallway activity, other guests, and outside sounds all came through. The service was disappointing too: staff seemed indifferent when we raised problems, and simple requests took a long time or were ignored. Cleanliness fell short, with dust, stained linens, and a bathroom that didn't seem properly sanitized, despite the room looking okay at first. It didn't resemble the online photos. Some amenities were outdated or didn't work properly, and for the price I expected better upkeep. Overall, Golden Sun Hotel Đà Nẵng felt poorly managed and not worth the money. I wouldn't recommend it, as there are better options in Đà Nẵng for clean rooms and more professional service.

The view was amazing and the staff were really friendly. My room and bathroom were clean, and the cleanliness was okay overall. I did find a red hair in the soap when I opened it to smell it. My hair is brown, and I didn't need to use the soap since I had my own, but I usually use hotel soap for handwashing. Apart from that, I recommend the place.

At around USD 40, I thought the room was very poor value. It was small and had no view, much worse than another hotel I'd stayed in for the same price. I also found mold in the corners, a dirty corridor carpet, an unpleasant-looking hallway, doors left open, and used coffee cups on the floor. It was advertised as four-star, but to me it didn't even reach three-star standards. Seeing four- and five-star hotels everywhere also made me wonder if getting a hotel star rating in Vietnam is much easier.

I spent four nights here and had no issues at all. The rooms were a good size with plenty of natural light, and the buffet breakfast was adequate.
