That hilltop location means a bit of a workout if you don’t rent a bike, though the center of Sapa is only about 10 minutes away. I stayed three nights, slept well in a comfortable bed, and really liked the restaurant view. I tried breakfast once and enjoyed it. The bathroom drain wasn’t working properly while I was there, so I hope they’ve fixed it since.

The meals were excellent and fairly priced, and I booked two tours through the hostel: a day visiting local villages and another to mt fansipan. I’d recommend both. My single room had a balcony and a stunning view, and the staff were super friendly, though their English wasn’t very strong. Laundry service is available too. Great value for money.

The view over the mountains was so good I barely felt the need to hike. I liked the large, comfortable common area, and the rooms were nice, though the blankets seemed a little old. Staff helped a lot with bus connections, and the service was good. I’ve stayed in better hostels in Vietnam, so I’m not giving five stars, but I’m very content with my choice in Sapa.

After a long day of hiking, we’d already checked out, but the staff let us shower and store our luggage for the day. They even called a cab when it was time to get to the bus station. Our double room had a balcony facing the beautiful mountains. I’d definitely stay again.

The balcony off our private room had a really nice view. The room and sheets were clean, and the bathrooms were very clean too. It was comfortable throughout and good value for money. We thought it was a great hostel.
