For what we paid, I can't complain. The reception lady welcomed us and pointed out places nearby. The location is superb, within walking distance across the bridge. I took a walk through the night market, though maybe I'm tired of night markets now and it doesn't interest me as much. There are some nice restaurants and massage places around. We ended up walking quite a bit after paying for a quick taxi tour, since that helped us decide where we wanted to go next. Our room was clean and faced the back, so it was quiet. The hot water runs on solar power, and took a while to heat up, but was fine after that. There are several nearby laundries, some paid and some self-service. The homestay offered to do our laundry for a fee, which was easier. The clothes came back smelling nice and clean.

The location is prime, the rooms are clean, and the prices are really reasonable. The staff were lovely, especially Nga, who was so helpful. They offer bike hire for the day, airport transfers at a good price, and tours you can book through them. Amazing service, would absolutely recommend.

We had an extremely frustrating and horrible travel experience. I can't believe or forget how bad it was, and would NOT recommend this to anyone. At checkout, as we were leaving for the airport, only one staff member could speak English, and they weren't there. We spent nearly 30 minutes trying to explain basic things through a translator app until that person arrived. Before paying, we had clearly asked for a quick coffee stop on the way. There were lots of coffee shops along open roads, but they argued for another 15 minutes, falsely saying the roads were blocked. I said I'd only pay for the car if they agreed, otherwise I could easily book Grab. They then agreed. On the way, police stopped the car because the driver didn't have proper documents. He made us wait 20 minutes and told us to keep waiting. We had to argue that we'd be late for our flight before he finally booked a Grab for us. Transferring all our luggage on the highway was extremely stressful and unsafe. The driver was extremely rude. This felt completely unprofessional and unsafe. They hire drivers without proper documents and put customers in trouble.

The staff were kind and so helpful, and the location couldn't be better. I had a really good stay, with a comfortable, clean room and great amenities, including a/c, toilet, and shower. The service was amazing. Highly recommend!
