The neighborhood is quiet and local, outside the tourist zone, with plenty of nearby restaurants, coffee shops, bars, food stalls, laundry places, and spas. There are lots of local people around, which seemed like a good sign. The old town is still close: about six minutes by Grab or a 22-minute walk. I took closer to 40 minutes when I stopped for photos of the surroundings and little alleyways, which are well worth a look. My room was spacious, clean, and well kept, with a balcony. From outside, it looked like every room had one, and the views were beautiful. The bed was firm, and there was a desk, a large bathroom with a rain shower, two bedside tables, and several sockets near both the bed and desk. Double curtains on the window and balcony door blocked outside views and sunlight, so I could sleep in the dark without being woken by sunrise. The water pressure was good and the shower got very warm. Just remember to switch on the water heater. Storage was limited to clothes hangers, with no proper closet, but there was room to put things on the desk or bedside tables. The Wi-Fi slowed down a little at night when more people were connected, sometimes taking 30 to 45 seconds for a video to load. Ms. Trâm, Jerry, and the rest of the staff were very friendly and spoke English well. They gave good tips on local food, places to see, and things to do outside the tourist zone. Jerry especially was great to talk to, and I learned a lot, not only about Hoi An and Vietnam, but about life. The cleaning lady was lovely too. She came by every day to ask if I wanted the room cleaned, fresh towels or toilet paper, or the sheets changed. Sorry I didn't get your name, but thank you. I stayed four days and didn't hear the local fruit and food sellers who sometimes announce themselves over loudspeakers early in the morning. I still recommend earplugs for people from outside Asia who aren't used to loud sounds. Asia can feel noisier than Europe, though you get used to it if you travel around for a while. Thanks for a great stay. I hope to come back in around 6-8 months, take some pictures this time, and update my review. I forgot to take any.

The owners were lovely and really went out of their way to make our time in Hoi A perfect. The room was spacious and very clean, and it’s just a short walk to the center. We could also use the bikes for free. They recommended their great tailor shop, and Thuy even went to the trouble of posting something I’d left behind. Such good value, I couldn’t recommend it more.

A quiet spot near the locals. Tram is so helpful and has a beautiful soul ❤️.

The rooms are exceptionally clean, with balconies and spectacular space. There’s a swimming pool, and the staff are friendly. One of the staff members is a foreigner who speaks English.

We stayed here twice, with a two-night trip to the local Cham islands in between, so we got a good sense of the place. The hotel is clean, well kept, and nicely presented. The cleaners did good work, and the breakfast cooks did too. At first, I thought we'd found a winner. The front desk service was the big problem. Five days before our stay, we asked them to book a local taxi from the hotel to the ferry port. They said it was no problem, but it still hadn't been arranged when we arrived. After we asked over and over, they finally booked it at 7:45 for our 8 o'clock ferry. We were told the ride would take 10 minutes, but it took 20. We were lucky the ferry was running late, or we'd have missed it and faced a long wait for the evening boat. It was frustrating after being told the taxi would be sorted. The free bikes were also in bad shape, with no brakes and needing general care. When I pointed out that riding without brakes could be dangerous if a scooter pulled out, the staff just stared and started turning an adjuster that was already fully extended. I'm a bike mechanic, so I walked away and found another bike that had half a brake but a broken bottom bracket. Breakfast was more work than it should have been. Coffee, juice, cups, glasses, and cutlery were often gone, even when staff walked past the table. Other guests and I had to ask for things to be restocked. We asked for cutlery with our omelets, and the young woman just looked at us as if we should eat with our hands. The kids often sat at reception playing computer games, and that same receptionist was on her phone a lot. Her attention to detail was poor, and she was the main reason I got frustrated. Both rooms had air conditioning units directly above the bed, blowing straight onto it. Even on low, with a thin duvet, we got cold. Changing the setting from 16 to 24 degrees made no difference to the air coming out, so we went to bed wearing jumpers. The badly placed unit left us with broken sleep. We're an English couple who heat our home with a log stove and sleep with the bedroom window open even in winter, so we're not especially sensitive to the cold. Noise was another issue. A dog nearby barked from 6 am into the evening on all three nights, waking us up, and a local cockerel joined in during the mornings. The owner should ask the dog's owner to quiet it. The room door was paper thin too, so loud backpackers returning and shouting could wake you. I don't usually complain in reviews, but we left frustrated.
