Louis Hotel

Our recent suite was disappointing. The walls and furniture were in terrible condition, the towels and linens were worn and stained, and the furniture needed a sheet over it for us to use it. The rugs need deep cleaning or replacing, the curtains need to be cleaned, and the place could use fresh paint. These rooms don’t match the condition being advertised. The breakfast menu is also very sparse now. We’ve stayed at Louis Hotel four or five times over the past seven years, always booking the king suite. It’s a large, comfortable room with a sitting area and big windows overlooking the city. The location works perfectly for us, near family and the market, with Danang Beach a short taxi ride away. What we’ve always loved most is the staff. Over the years they’ve been friendly, polite, professional, and accommodating, and everyone except one person during this stay was fantastic. On our first visit about seven years ago, the hotel really impressed us. It felt like the owners cared: fresh paint, clean and well-kept spaces, nice towels and linens, and a room that looked and smelled new. I don’t think anything has been touched since. I’m wondering if there are new owners. One person, who I’m guessing was the manager, just walked around with crossed arms and no smile or friendly expression. We’d hate to see Louis Hotel go to waste. We enjoy staying there, but if it keeps getting worse, we’ll look somewhere else when we visit Danang. Keep the employees and show the hotel some love.
